21st Century Education

There are many skills that I will need to succeed in the life path I think I want. Some of the skills I feel are key in me being successful  aren't skills that you learn in school but more from your family and Friend's.My skills that are going to get me somewhere in life is my motivation and my work ethic along with things my dad has taught me and skills that I have picked up my self. All the things we have been learning in school will only apply to my future through the basic stuff reading, writing , simple math skills anything beyond that in my situation has been a complete waste of time.In my mind the perfect education would be learning the expected  skills the first eight or so years of school in the same ways that we have. But in high school I feel your education should start becoming much more personal to yourself instead of being given topics to write on or doing math in every topic we should continue learning but instead of me writing on Macbeth or some novel I was forced to read we should be able to branch off and each student can work on his or her interests.Instead of tests I would like a more practical test to show the skills I am personally working towards for the future. Next year I plan to work paving for the company I currently work for to save up the forty thousand dollars I will need to go through the 10 month commercial pilot course here in Penticton. After getting through school I will start slowly building my flying hours through a low paying pilot job in hopes of one day getting a well paying job flying for a large company and living a high end happy life.

Walk a Paragraph

Another typical day the alarm clock in my head wakes me up at 5:45 every morning with no fail I roll out of bed looking forward to nothing but my morning joint and Starbucks brew. The thought of brushing my teeth and taking a shower sounds good but are really pointless I have no one to impress. I throw on my weathered leather jacket and walk out the door I really wish I didn't drink away my problems and try to drive home, now I'm stuck walking to the mall in the minus eight weather.I'm the first person at the Starbucks door every morning Sam always has my tall black coffee waiting for me. I sit at the same seat out side religiously.Sadly this is probably going to be the highlight of my day I sit drink my coffee and smoke away careless to the looks that people give me when they notice the distinct odor. It helps me relax and get away from my very lonely reality. Now that my coffee is on its last legs I will probably walk home watch TV till i fall asleep and do it all again tomorrow.

My superpower

If I could have any superpower It would have to be the ability to change the weather whenever I wanted I would love this power because it would allow me to do all the activity's I love all day everyday. Could you imagine heading up Apex in the morning and snowboarding all day in waist deep powder with the perfect sunshine then at the snap of your fingers you could head down to the beach with a group of friend's sit around in 35 degree weather and have a few lemonades nothing better. A perfect light rain would greet me the next morning after sitting down to breakfast its back to another perfect day.Start off with a flawless dirt bike ride then a quick ice skate out on the rink with that crisp cold air. The power of controlling the weather would simply make everything I love to do perfect every time.
